Laser Cleaning

How does it work?

Laser cleaning (or laser ablation) works by using a beam of focused, condensed light to break the molecular bonds of the contaminant and expel it from the surface. Basically, the contaminant particles are heated so quickly that they vaporize and turn into dust.

Why is laser cleaning better than the alternatives?

Sandblasting and pressure washing just can’t compete with laser cleaning! Not only is it easier to handle, but there is virtually no damage to the surface being cleaned and there is no messy clean up. Laser cleaning uses light, no chemicals or abrasives. And the contaminant that you are removing is basically turned to dust, so just a little light vacuuming and you’re all cleaned up. And to top it all off, it’s better for the environment. Laser is the green way to clean!

What are the applications?

With laser cleaning, the applications are seemingly endless! Whether its rust or paint removal from metal surfaces such as cars, boats, and machinery parts, or paint and mold removal from concrete surfaces such as buildings and sidewalks. Anything that you would sand blast or pressure wash, you can laser clean.
